I just want to spend a day with you.

No worries, just fun. Starting early in the day, ending when the moon is at it’s peak. No plans, just what we want to do. If it’s walking around a park, or biking on the pier, as long as we are having fun. We can go to a restaurant to eat, or possibly have a surprise picnic. We could talk about anything. If we’re just catching up, joking around with each other, venting, or just enjoying the silence of the moment. Toward the end of the day, we can find somewhere to sit and enjoy the sunset as the stars pop into the sky, one by one, watching the moonrise. One day.

I love the feeling of talking to someone on the phone late night and knowing they fall asleep on me. I know most people would take that as being rude, or as if they were boring them, but I take it as the complete opposite. I take that as being adorable. If you’ve had a long day and you’re tired, by all means go to sleep, but if you would like to carry conversation with me even as you’re falling asleep, than I’ll be right there to listen. I take that as they really wanted to talk to me but were exhausted, but didn’t want to hang up, because they wanted to converse. I can appreciate someone’s efforts on wanting to talk. Most people are quiet these days, so I’ll take a conversation with you any night. More often than not, when you’re conversing with someone you love, the conversations are amazing. Whether it’s about something simple, or about life, how your day went, or about your dreams, it’s wonderful and I rather be on the phone with them, than not talk to them at all, even if we are silent.

I know most people would be annoyed, but I would think most people would appreciate good company, in person or on the phone. To me, there’s something cute about hearing them breathe in and out as they sleep so calmly, and at peace. I love to know that you are resting, I love to know you had a great day, because as much as I want to talk to you, your well being matters to me much more. There’s something that’s reassuring about having someone on the phone at night. When it’s quiet, and your thoughts can process better, and the interruptions are to a minimum and it’s just you and that person, it’s nice. Whether it’s your lover or your best friend, I think there’s a feeling of not being alone, a feeling of having someone there, a feeling that most of us like having. <3

If you really want something, focus on it. Focus on it until you have it and it’s definite. Distractions should have no meaning to you. Everything you want is a test to see how much you really want it and how much you’re willing to give or lose to have it. Failing at your focus is…

Mom, listen, I haven’t been together with Topanga for 22 years, but we have been together for 16. That’s a lot longer than most couples have been together. I mean, when we were born, you told me that we used to take walks in our strollers together around the block. When we were two, we were best friends. I mean, I knew everything about this girl. I knew her favorite color, her favorite food. Then we became six, Eric made fun of me because it wasn’t cool to have a best friend that was a girl or even know a girl. So for the next seven years I threw dirt at her. I like to call those “the lost years”. Then when I was thirteen, mom, she put me up against my locker and she kissed me. I mean, she gave me my first kiss. She taught me how to dance. She always was talking about these crazy things and I never understood a word she said. All I understood was that she was the girl I sat up every night thinking about, and when I’m with her, I feel happy to be alive. Like I can do anything. Even talk to you like this. So that’s, that’s what I think is love, mom. When I’m better because she’s here.” - Cory Matthews, Boy Meets World

Ahhh, I love Cory & Topanga

It’s an amazing thing, you know, to have your best friend and your love all wrapped up in one incredible package.
